The RAF Museum at Hendon in London is one of the best aviation museums to view WWII aircraft. All of the classics are housed here in three large hangars. The musuem can be reached by taking the Underground on the Northern Line that goes to Edgware and getting off at the Collindale Station (not Hendon Central which is one stop before). Once exiting the Collindale Station, turn left and then its a ten minute walk past a pedestrian crossing and straight through a roundabout. The museum is open daily (except for around Christmas) from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm and admission is free.
