The following photographs were taken by Max Wenden who visited the Fokker site in the Rockefeller Mountains on 16 December 1998. Photos are copyright of Max Wenden.
Black object in middle of photograph is starboard ski. Note deterioration
of starboard wing spars since 1987. Aircraft in background is a Twin Otter
of Kenn Borek Air which was on contract to the National Science Foundation
and flown by Max Wenden, a New Zealand pilot.
This photograph is taken from behind the starboard wing (aircraft is
upside down). Starboard ski is in middle centre. Note underside of plywood
wing has completely gone. Wooden framing for passenger windows is evident
on side of fuselage framing.
